I had the most wounderful New Year's Eve last night.....we decided to just have a quiet one.
The girls helped with dinner-- followed by confetti brownies and hot coco. Then we had a dance party.... (Bella calls it dance party USA) Then we watched a National Geographic movie about bears, wolves and salmon living out in a place called Bear Island in BC.
Around 10 we read the girls stories, and talked them into bed...
Nate suffered through a total chick movie-- complete with 1700 century dresses, all for me! ;)
Later we talked, reflecting on the year gone by.
It has not been the easiest of year's, but one that we have learned and grew in.
Life, (God) has a way of putting challenges in front of us. It is our chioce to resist, to wiggle out of those hard times on our own steam or to dig in, and face them.... Encouraging His perspective and guidence, instead of our own. That concept has stretched across our lives individually, and as a couple in so many ways this year.
I have been challenged to live in a simpler, more deliberate way. We've begun the homeschooling journey this year. It has been wounderful. Not always easy, swimming upstream never is. We have already seen benefits......
Sorry this is choppy, I wanted to write a bit but don't have much time to.....
I hear little ones upstairs that need me. Bed time 4 mommy!!
Happy New Year friends!!
